Katrina and I did this some time ago because we had a lot of ideas and wanted to get started and jot stuff down for the storyboard. This was just a rough starting idea as to what we wanted the first part of the video to look like. We have now discussed it further and our ideas kept developing and now we have changed it around a bit. You can see this from the storyboard final cut.

Final Magazine Digipak Advertisement
I am happy with the final result of the Magazine Digipak Advertisement. I focused on the layout. I think that the advert promotes the bands personality as well as their
music. I tried to show that the band were very girly, happy and that their music was pop orientated. I did this because the target audience are young girls which are looking for rolemodels to lead them in the right path. This is why the band has to be clean cut and friendly.
Having the photoshoot in a studio creates a clear link between the Advert and the Music Video because that is were the filming will take place. I choose a calm and happy photograph because i felt that it would connote to the audience that the band is friendly, fun but also serious about their music.
I wanted the Advert to be colourful and stood out from the rest of the pages you would find in a magazine.
I decided to do the magazine cut out effect for the Digipak Magazine Advert. I choose this because I really like the effect but also because i find it quite interesting to look at. The effect makes the subject inside it stand out. It also emphasises the most important elements of this page (the band and their name). The effect is very eye catching and has a slight edge, especially with a bright selection of colours.
Throughout the Digipak, Magazine Advertisement, Digipak Leaflet and all the photography I did, I have repeted the colour yellow. I have done this because the colour yellow connotes happiness, warmth, excitement and freshness. The colour yellow is energetic and eye catching which is exactly what i want my band to be seen as. I want them to be recognised as being jolly, energetic and not afraid to stand out. Flat Plans of Magazine Advert for Digipak
A magazine advert is a way to promote the bands brand identity and to get them noticed/seen. A magazine advert is a way for the band to show and communicate to the target audience who they are and what their genre/style is.
There has to be a link between the Magazine Advert, Music Video and Digipak. This is because they are all part of one package and have the same purposes. Their main aims are to get the audience to notices, get involved, get to know the band and buy the product.
My link between the three is going to be the style, (colourful, inventive, stilish, unique) the same type of use of imagery, same writing ( I use only two main ones, Ebrima and Eras Bold ITC, either in capital letters or lower case)
so that it is easier for the audience to recognise the band.

Magazine Advertisement
For my magazine advert i have looked through a variety of magazines for inspiration. A few are:-
Promotional Strategies
To peruade the audience into buying or even looking at the bands album/Digipak, the advert puts star ratings, reviews or quotes etc...
To engage the audience more, the advert also, only puts the main single release from the Digipak.

Final Layout of Booklet inside Digipak
I have decided to have the pictures stuck in with tape to give a 'scapbook' effect. This is so that it will seem more personal and the audience can relate more.
Photography
I really liked the cross processing effect because i like how it adds more character and life into the picture. The effect is not very realistic but i researched into it and it is mainly used for advertising fashion and for band photography so, i felt that it was very appropriate. The effect brings out the colours more and stands out which, is excatly what i wanted. I really like the effect that the editing does with the colours because it gives a big contrast.

Final Digipak
The Digipak is a way for the band to promote their brand identity in a way that will be appealing to the target audience. Body language and styling is key in a photograph because gestures speak louder than words. For example it would be innapropriate for one of my band members to wear a hoddy and stare at the ground like for exaple a more chavy artists would do.
The way i tried to promote my band is through the photos and having them posing in content moods. I have done this by having the girls posing in silly, fun and friendly way. This is so that the audience doesn't feel intimidated and feels welcome and content with what they see. I want the audience to feel wanted and like part of a group.

My Digipak Final Flat Plans Video
A couple of things I realised I have done wrong so I will make sure I will do right in the real digipak booklet (leaflet).
1) I did the flat plans of the booklet in rectangle but I will be doing them in a square otherwise they won't be able to fit in the Digipak.
2)I have only done 3 pages ( 6 sides) in the flat plan but in the original I will do 4 pages (8 sides) so that it is easier for the producers to assamble and print.

Band meeting
In this video we discuss the photoshoot and the music video.
In the video at a certain point we say that 'Jess' is going to be the fourth member but we changed to 'Ellen' as being the fourth member because of a little missunderstanding. Ellen knows all the information and is up for taking part.
